About Forest Flow
Forest Flow provides 1:1 or small group wilderness and forest school sessions for young people who may struggle to thrive in mainstream education. Our sessions use nature as a therapeutic tool to help pupils develop:
- Emotional regulation and resilience
- Confidence and self-esteem
- Social skills and engagement with learning
- A sense of calm and connection with the natural world
Each session is tailored to the individual, combining outdoor activities, reflection, and personal development to create meaningful progress.
Our Approach
We believe in the healing power of nature. Forest Flow sessions take place in carefully risk-assessed outdoor environments, guided by trained facilitators with safeguarding, outdoor safety, and therapeutic training.
Through forest school principles, young people:
- Explore and connect with nature
- Develop problem-solving and self-reliance
- Reflect on personal goals and achievements
- Gain the skills and confidence to re-engage with learning
Who We Work With
- Schools and Local Authorities – supporting pupils via alternative provision, reintegration, or pastoral support
- Parents and Guardians – for children who need a personalised, nature-based intervention
- Young People aged 5–16 – particularly those struggling with SEMH, anxiety, disengagement, or behavioural challenges
All sessions include risk assessments, session planning, and a progress report for the school or parent.
